Glen Iris Cardiology is established by A/Prof Brian Ko as a cardiology practice with a mission to treat patients with compassion, dedication and the highest degree of expertise.

We aim to provide excellent, timely and accessible care for patients are referred from around Melbourne and Victoria wide. This includes the invasive and non-invasive evaluation and management of coronary artery disease, as well as the management of conditions such as valvular heart disease, rhythm disturbances, high blood pressure and heart failure.

The practice facilitates cardiac testing such as  holter and blood pressure monitoring, rest echocardiogram and stress echocardiography. Patients may also be referred for consideration of further assessment with CT calcium scoring and CT coronary angiogram.

Through both their clinical interaction and research collaboration, A/Prof Brian Ko and Respiratory Physician Dr Martin MacDonald identified the need for better integration of cardiac and respiratory/sleep services and greater collaboration between these specialties. Adding Respiratory/Sleep consultations and office spirometry to the Glen Iris Cardiology complements the existing suite of cardiac investigations and allows a truly comprehensive patient assessment.
